Confab: NIALS deploys research fellows as volunteers

Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) has expressed its readiness to support the proposed National Conference recently announced by the federal government.
The institute disclosed yesterday in a statement issued by its Director-General, Prof. Epiphany Azinge, in Abuja.
The statement said as the nation’s apex legal research institute saddled with the responsibility of conducting research into any branch of the law or related subjects with a view to applying the results in the interest of the country, “we have volunteered to support the smooth operation of the conference with the deployment of 20 research fellows to the confab
secretariat.”

It said: “To demonstrate this support, management has decided to avail the conference of the services of its outstanding faculty members, a minimum of twenty research fellows to support the secretariat of the
National Conference as volunteers.”
According to the statement, the gesture is part of the institute’s social responsibility as a government agency that is renowned for integrity, efficiency and quality assurance in conference services.
“As an institute that is reputed for legislative drafting and publishing of law journal, these research fellows would bring their wealth of experience to bear on the assignment.”
