Confed Cup: Bayelsa get tough customers

Bayelsa United have been handed a tough draw at the play-off Round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
After advancing at the expense of Zimbabwe’s How Mine FC, the Restoration Boys have now been drawn to face Sewe Sports of Cote d’Ivoire in the play-off round.

Sewe Sport dropped out of the Champions League after giving DR Congolese giants TP Mazembe a torrid time.
The Ivorian club beat Mazembe 2 – 1 in the first-leg of the Champions League qualifying encounter, and lost 0 – 1 in the return leg.

Despite the 2-2 aggregate score line, Sewe were knocked out by Mazembe who were favoured by the away goal advantage.
Bayelsa United are Nigeria’s sole surviving club on the continent after the likes of Kano Pillars, Enyimba and Warri Wolves fell by the way side in the early stages.
The first-leg will take place in Ivory Coast between April 18 and 20.
