Confederation Cup: Eguma apologises to Nigerians over ouster

Following their ouster from the CAF Confederation Cup, the head coach of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has tendered an unreserved apology to Nigerians for their ouster in the hand of Young Africans of Tanzania on 2-0 aggregate.

Eguma further admitted that Young Africans are the better side and wish them all the best in future engagement.

“We are using this opportunity to apologise to Nigerians, who have relied so much on us and have so much hope in us being the only Nigerian team in the continent, next time we are going to be better.

“Young Africans are a good side, they deserved to go through and I wish them the best of luck in their future engagements”, he said.
