Organisers of Project One has called on Nigerians to be patriotic by contributing meaningfully and be the Nigeria brand ambassador everywhere, saying this is the only way to have a unified and developed country desired by all.
Its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bisayo Busari-Akinwadeju, made the call yesterday in Abuja at the “I am a Nigerian” Conference, which held on the theme: “Beaming the light on the Nigerian child.”
Busari-Akinwadeju stressed the need to inculcate in young Nigerians the right values to enable them grow up with the pride of being Nigerian, tasking all to make it a responsibility to think of what to do for the country.
She said, “Despite the challenges we face as Nigerians, we must remain loyal, faithful, and honest to the country.
“We are committed to do all that is within our power to see this great nation regain her place as the the giant of Africa.
“Our children are literally our future, they carry with them our dreams, hopes, and desires of the future.
“There is in fact no greater duty to our nation than to pay attention to these little ones and ensure that they are well prepared. This duty puts a lot of responsibility on us to show the way we want our Nigeria to be,” she added.
In his remarks, former presidential candidate of the Sustainable National Party Ahmed Buhari, said for Nigeria to grow, citizens must be reoriented to change their minds towards positive thinking.
Delivering a lecture at the event, the CEO SoundCore Group Anthony Nwakalor, stressed the need to creat an economically restructured Nigeria, noting that across the coutry each community has commodities which are either agro or mineral based.
“Nigeria has five solid minerals and government is not aware of this to tap adequately into it. When these minerals are well tapped it can sustain the economy of that particular community that they dont have to depend on the federal government,” he stressed.
Project One is a platform that advocates for Nigerians to know who they are, believe and stand for themselves, as well as encourage all to be the Nigerian brand ambassador.
