Congratulations Tinubu and Nigerians

Let me start by saying “Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin”. Today, history has been made because we’re going to witness another June 12, 1991, reign of democracy that gave birth to a successful, free and fair, people’s choice leader, Chief MKO Abiola of blessed memory. Now, it is the turn of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of Bargu kingdom, the political cruiser, the Master Planner and Dakaren Birnin Gwari. Today’s history will not be complete without mentioning your humble name especially in the African continent.

I commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for conducting free, fair and credible elections on 25th February. Words alone can’t describe your efforts in the successful conduct of the presidential, senatorial and House of Representatives elections. It’s indeed a great achievement in the history of Nigeria. All things being equal, I personally view the success recorded by INEC under the able leadership of Professor Mahmood Yakubu as a milestone achievement. At this juncture, I say kudos to the commission.

Furthermore, I congratulate our ruling party, the people’s choice and adorable for Nigerians, the All Progressives Congress (APC). The party has really changed the mood of democracy in Nigeria and also given rise to popular participation, especially in 2015. Ever since, the country has witnessed a paradigm shift in democracy and good governance. The ruling APC was founded to accommodate people of like-minds to form a government which it succeeded in doing in 2015.

There is no gainsaying the fact that a winner is always ahead of a loser. It’s indeed officially eight years in power and now the APC has won the presidential election and will be in power for, at least, another four years. The chairman of INEC has issued a Certificate of Return to the President-elect Bola Tinubu; a big Congratulations to the APC family.

I also congratulate the winners of other positions in the National Assembly from other political parties especially my constituency, that is Sabon Gari Federal Constituency Kaduna state in which Honourable Sadiq Ango Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was declared winner. May Allah guide and give you the ability to represent the people of Sabon Gari, Kaduna state and Nigeria diligently.

I pray to Allah Subuhanahu Wataala to give all our elected leaders the wisdom to focus and address the myriad of problems bedeviling Nigeria, irrespective of religion, ethnic or party inclination or differences.
