General Manager of Abia state Water board Engr. Ogbonna Leo Chiemena has said the provision of constant power supply in Aba will boost business activities in the commercial nerve centre of the state.
Abia waterboard G.M disclosed this to Blueprint in an Interview in Umuahia while assessing the areas Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has done well in his first tenure in office.
Engr. Chiemena further said attracting the electricity project to Enyimba city would encourage shoes and garments traders including artisans to go into fulltime operations and as well increase the revenue of the state government.
He said “All shoes and garments industries in Aba are now in a happy mood since they have constant power supply. Before Governor Okezie Ikpeazu came into power in 2015, almost all the industries in Aba folded coupled with the level of insecurity then, now business men are doing very well.”
