Member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, representing Jama’a Constituency, Honourable Labari Tela, has observed that continuity was the best option for democracy and good representation in any democratic setting.
Tela made the observation while addressing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) executives at the party office in Kafanchan, on his intention to represent his people again at the House for the third time.
The lawmaker said that his first and second tenure were an eye opener, which has equipped him with experience to give the people quality leadership.
He, however, revealed that he has done a lot to reflect the yearnings and aspirations of the people of his constituency through the redirection of resources to priority areas, such as peace, education, health, agriculture and youth empowerment.
He said that he has taken giant strides, reconciled and carried along all sections of people in the area aimed at ending selfish stewardship as a call to further serve his people.
While appealing to the PDP executives to give him another chance, he further asked them to excuse him on where he has erred for he reiterated his readiness to give them the best representation next time if given the chance to continue.
Earlier in his speech, his campaign coordinator, Honourable Danjuma Musa, assured the people that the lawmaker is a lover of peace and a good leader who has touched the lives of several people.
Musa urged the people to give Tela another chance to complete the good works he has started.
In his response, the PDP chairman, Jama’a Local Government, Mr. Robert Dyeris, told the lawmaker that the executives would discuss his intention.
