Court adjourns Iyan Zazzau’s case against El-Rufa’i, others to Nov

A Kaduna High Court sitting at Dogarawa in Sabon Gari local government area, presided over by Justice Kabir Dabo, has adjourned hearing of a case filed before it by Iyan Zazzau, Alhaji Bashir Aminu, challenging the appointment of Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli as the 19th emir of Zazzau.

The state government appointed Nuhu Bamalli following the demise of the late emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris.

The adjournment was informed by the defendant’s counsel, Mr. Usman, director, Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice’s application to allow service (s) on 6th-10th defendants who were not served with the process.

After argument from both the plaintiff and defendant’s counsels led by Mr. Ustaz Yunus and Mr. Usman, respectively, he adjourned the matter to November 2 for continuation of hearing when the plaintiff through his counsel would  move  motion of interlocutory injunction.

The plaintiff had jointly sued the state government; Zazzau Emirate Council; Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Zazzau Emirate Kingmakers; and the Emir of Zazzau, challenging Bamalli’s appointment as the 19th emir of Zazzau.
