Court bars Total Nigeria Plc from evicting Coy

A Lagos High Court has restrained Total Nigeria Plc from evicting, dislodging or evacuating Automatic Fits and Energy Nigeria Ltd and Segmat Springs Ltd from Total Plc Lube Bays assigned to them.

Justice L.A.M Folami said the injunction restraining the oil firm was pending hearing and determination of the substantive suit filed against it by Automatic fits and Segmat.

The two service firms had in Suit No: LD/ADR/2280/2019, sought an injunction of the court to restrain Total “and for such or further order that this honourable court may deem fit to make in the circumstance”.

Automatic Fit with over 400 workforce,  was adjudged Global Most Trusted Quality Automobile Care Services Company in 2018.

The company said it was  persuaded that the multinational company, through the threat to evict it from the Lube Bays assigned to it over 10 years ago, is out to exploit local content and throw the workers into labour market  .
