Court remands 29-year-old Osun ‘cultist’ in prison

Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara of an Osun Magistrate Court, Osogbo, Wednesday, ordered the remand of a 29-year-old suspected cultist, Olatunji Feyisola, for alleged killing.

The police prosecutor, Mr. Elisha Olusegun, told the court that the accused conspired with others, now at large, to kill one Segun Oluwalogbon (aka Badoo).

The accused was alleged to have committed the crime on December 2, 2018 at 9.30am, at Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

The accused was also alleged to belong to ‘Aye fraternity’, a secret society, an allegation, contrary to the law.

According to the charge sheet, the accused killed the victim by shooting him with gun, an offence which contravened the provision of section 324 of the criminal code cap 34, Vol II, laws of Osun state, 2002.

The plea of the accused was not taken due to the magnitude of the offence. The magistrate, however, directed his counsel, Miss Aanuoluwapo Bada, to file a formal application for the bail of the accused.

He ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesa prison and adjourned to July 31 for mention.
