Court remands man for burglary, theft

A Magistrate’s Court, sitting in Osogbo, Osun state, has ordered a 20-year-old man, Wahab Shalban, to be remanded in Ilesha Prisons for house breaking and theft of items worth N130,500.
He was arraigned on a twocount charge bothering on felony to wit house breaking and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Olayiwola Rasaq, said the accused and others at large, committed the offence on June 8, 2018, at about 2am at Okeola Street, Osogbo.
He said the accused and others broke into a shop belonging to one Quadir Lukuman and carted away four 20,000-watt stabilizers valued at N48,000; three blenders; 12 standing fans; wires; and four ceiling fans.
According to him, all the items allegedly stolen by the accused is valued at N130,500.
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges and his counsel, Mr Remigus Ngwu, prayed the court to be merciful with him, promising that he would change for good.

Oloyade, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesha Prisons and adjourned the case till June 28, for the Police to present the fact of the case.
