Court remands two persons for alleged robbery in Osun

Two middle-aged persons, Ogunmokun Deji and Seun Olusola, have been remanded in prison by an Osogbo Magistrate Court for alleged robbery.

The duo of the accused were alleged to have robbed one Ayeni Toyin at a gun point and dispossessed her of her properties that worth N320,000.
The Police prosecutor, Mr. Elisha Olusegun, told the court that the accused persons unlawfully had in their possession gun, and other dangerous weapons.
He alleged that the accused committed the purported crime on August 25, 2018 at about 2.40pm, at Okefia area, Osogbo, Osun State capital.

The prosecutor further alleged that the accused robbed their victim of Infinix hot 5 mobile phone valued N45,000, Nokia phone valued N5,000 and a cash sum of N270,000.
The accused, who had no legal representation, pleaded not guilty to the allegations of unlawful possession of gun and robbery leveled against them.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olubunmi Ajanaku, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ilesa prison custody and adjourned the matter to February 27, for mention.
