Court stops Adamawa PDP exco dissolution

Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered Peoples Democratic Party to hold on in its decision to suspend the Adamawa State Executive Committee, pending a judicial review on the outcome of the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting which held on August 12.
The court’s decision is premised on the fact that the PDP NEC took a decision on Adamawa executive committee despite the existence of a pending court order on the matter.
The court was sequel to a suit filed by aggrieved members of the dissolved executive committee.
The suit has Abdulrahman Bobboi, Ziramba Digwe, Alberta Gangkero and Shehu Jacob as the plaintiff, while respondents are the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission.
