Court’s decision on Accord Party’s BOT Chairman excites members

The Board of Trustees (BOT), of Accord Party has welcomed the court verdict which has mandated the Chairman of the BOT, Reverend Adebayo Adeniyi, to run the affairs of the party during which the new members of the National Working Committee shall be elected.

This is contained in a communique issued at the end of the 4th general meeting of the Board of Trustees of the party in Abuja.

The Board equally expressed satisfaction at the manner which Reverend Adeniyi has managed the party and ratified all the arrangements already put in place for the commencement of a new conversation.

It, therefore, called on INEC and the security agencies to ensure adequate representation to monitor the pending convention of the party as prescribed by the Electoral Act.

The communiqie advised all Accord party members and the national officers who were in the immediate past Caretaker Committee to join hands with Reverend Adeniyi and other members of the BOT to rebuild the Party of choice to all Nigerians.

It described the purported expulsion of the Chairman of the Party as illegal and sub-juices as the matter is still in court.

The BOT Chairman, Reverend Adebayo Adeniyi, told newsmen after reading the communique that the party is committed to ensuring success at all levels during the 2023 general election.

Reverend Adeniyi expressed concern over the current state of insecurity and the collapse of the nation’s economy.

He therefore enjoined all Nigerians to vote massively for the Candidates of Accord Party  nationwide towards rebuilding and uniting the country.
