Covid-19: Ishaku donates food items to KUW staff

Taraba state governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, Wednesday donated food palliatives to Kwararafa University, Wukari staff to cushion the effects of the lockdown posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ishaku who donated the food items in Wukari stated that he donated the food items based on  the circumstances the university’s staff are going through during  this period  of lockdown.

The vice chancellor of the university, Professor Sunday Paul Bako, while receiving the items thanked the governor for the kind gestures.

“I relate the plight of the university staff to the governor. Haven seen that the university community needs the attention of the state government at this crucial moment of its existence, he immediately ordered the release of the food palliatives for workers,” he said.

He said the food items include bags of rice, bags of maize flour, gallons of groundnut oil, cartons of magg,i among other cooking spices.

He stated that the palliatives arrived Wukari at the City Campus of the institution and they are ready for distributions to academic and non-academic staff.
