COVID 19: Jigawa NSCDC takes awareness campaign to public places

As part of measures to curb the spread of COVID19, National Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) Jigawa state Command, has taken the Awareness and Sensitization Campaign to motor parks, markets and other public places.

This was contained in a press release signed by the command Public Relation Officer, Adamu Shehu and made available to our reporter Tuesday  in Dutse.

He said that the programme was unveiled at the popular Tipper Garage, Dutse, Metropolitan Motorpark and the Main Market respectivel, by the state Commandant, Alhaji Garba Muhammad.

The commandant urged the general public to ensure  personal hygiene through thorough hand washing with soap and water and  the use of hand sanitizers, facial mask in crowded places and most importantly, social distancing. 

The chairmen of Jigawa state Marketers Association (JISMA) and NURTW, Alhaji Yahaya Ibrahim and Alhaji Adamu Shehu commended the command’s timely initiative awareness campaign. They said it will make a positive impact on the general public.

Short lectures were delivered at the occasion by personnel from both Medical and Disaster Management Units of the command with an open floor for questions and answers as well as distribution of flyers.
