A People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Lawal Adamu Usman, has doled out a N10 million stimulus package to support communities in seven local government areas that make up the Kaduna Central Senatorial District.
Adamu fondly called Mr LA, who was the PDP senatorial candidate for Kaduna Central in the 2019 elections, made this known in Kaduna, noting that politicians must learn to support their people at all times not only when they seek votes.
He observed that the current state of lockdown imposed as a measure to curtail the spread of the devastating Covid-19 pandemic has come with severe hardship on the general population particularly the vulnerable communities.
While encouraging people to adhere to all the public health instructions in order to stay safe and ensure the safety of others, Mr LA said it is at the same time the responsibility of the privileged class to support the less privileged through these trying times.
He said, “to this end, I have donated the sum of N10m through the Mr LA Cares Foundation for the purchase of food items to be distributed to 81 wards of the seven local government areas of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone.
“This token is to cushion the effect of the lockdown resulting from the global Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic that has caused serious socioe-conomic hardships to our people.
“Our coordinators in the 81 wards will be assigned the responsibility of distributing the food items to the beneficiaries within the identified communities and households of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone with immediate effect.

He prayed that Almighty God heal the world and bring the virus pandemic to an immediate end.
