Covid-19: NCDC applauds Mangu NYSC orientation camp

The NYSC orientation camp at Mangu, Plateau state,  has attracted the commendation of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). This was revealed to Blueprint Tuesday by the Director-General of NYSC, Brig-General Shuaibu Ibrahim.   The NYSC DG said in order to ensure a Covid-19 free orientation camp, surveillance officers from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control headquarters,  Abuja,  had inspected  Mangu camp facilities to ascertain its readiness for the 2020 Batch “B” Stream II Orientation Course before making the commendation.He said after a thorough inspection,  some NCDC surveillance officers, Isiyaku Shuaibu Gari and Santino Osifoh, expressed  satisfaction with the Covid-19 safety guidelines and the facilities put in place to curb the spread of the deadly pandemic.

“The Team inspected the Covid-19 testing boot, the camp clinic, hostels (both male and female), kitchen, camp market, holding centre, multipurpose hall, amongst others 
“They equally held interactive sessions with the State Coordinator, NYSC Plateau, Caroline William Embu,  supervisors, and heads of committees to further ascertain necessary information to which they based the rating of the Camp,” General Ibrahim said.
