Covid-19: Niger Delta youths hail NSCDC on synergy with sister agencies

The Mission for Peace and Development of Niger Delta Youths, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has lauded the Nigeria Security and Civil Defences Corps (NSCDC) led by the Commandant General, Mr Abdullah Gana Muhammadu, for working  harmoniously with other security agencies in the enforcement of the federal government’s directives aimed at checking the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

The youth group in a press statement by the National Chairman, Hon Philip Adomor, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader in Olomoro ward, Madam ELO Eyere, said the Commandant and his management team deserve commendation for ensuring the officers, as well as the rank and file worked harmoniously with other security agencies to implement the lockdown regulations.

According to them, the NSCDC boss and his management team have successfully redefined the corps, especially as it concerns service delivery, professionalism, and transparency among others.
The group added that the commandant has also contributed immensely in enhancing food security in Nigeria through the introduction of the agro rangers programme, an initiative of CG Muhammadu established to compliment the agricultural revolution policy of the President  Muhammadu Buhari administration.

The youth body also commended the NSCDC boss for reducing the activities of oil thieves in the Niger Delta region and urged President Buhari to renew the tenure of the commandant in view of his sterling performance and unalloyed committed to the realisation of Mr President’s change agenda.
