COVID-19: Odubu to distribute sanitizers for drivers, others in Edo

As part of efforts to compliment the state and federal government efforts in curbing the spread of coronavirus, a former deputy governor in Edo state, Dr. Pius Odudu has procured huge quantities of hand sanitizers for onward distribution to residents.

Odubu said the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines indicates that “the frequent application of hand sanitizers in the absence of soap and water for the washing of hands is a major effort  for the curtailment of the virus”.

In a statement signed by Henry Idahagbon Esq  on behalf of Odubu Campaign Organization, the ex-deputy governor said the sanitizers will be distributed to all the major health care providers and  market women.

Others that will benefit according to the statement include: commercial drivers,  the Hausa , Yoruba, Igbo communities in the eighteen local government areas of the state.

“It is our hope that these efforts will go a long way in helping to curtail the spread of the virus in our dear state.

“May God Almighty continue to protect our people and direct the scientists all over the world  to finding the cure or the appropriate vaccine for this pandemic sooner than later,” the statement said.
