Covid-19: Youth coalition lauds SGF on handling of pandemic

Coalition of Nigeria Youth Association has commended Secretary of the Government of Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, for the measures taken in the fight against the second phase of global pandemic Covid-19.
Speaking in a press statement issued on Sunday, Coordinator of the Association, Comrade Nuhu Sani Lere, said Boss Mustapha and his team deserved commendation for their achievements since the sitting of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 to date.


Lere said it was important to note that the PTF has increased the number of laboratories for testing of the Covid-19 from 15 to 26 states within the second phase of its work which is commendable. 
He also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his 100% support to the PTF. He commended the President’s policies and programs toward improving the life of Nigerian youth.
He said the PTF further trained additional 11, 409 health workers to boost capacity for case management and also their progressive improvement in the capacity of the health system to respond to the outbreak.
Lere further said the PTF has expanded the beds available for isolation and case management from 3,500 to 5,000 beds nationwide. 


He said with the achievements so far, the SGF and Chairman of PTF and his team members deserved commendation from the governments and all Nigerians.
Meanwhile, the Coalition of the Nigeria Youth Association has urged Nigerian youth to shun any act that has the potential of endangering peace and unity of the country. 
National Coordinator of the associations, Comrade Nuhu Sani Lere, described youths as the building blocks of every society said unless they are engaged in useful ventures and educated, the realization of a vibrant nation would remain futile.


He noted that Nigeria was being faced with a lot of challenges occasioned by unemployment, lack of education, corruption, insecurity among others, while expressing optimism that the nation would one day attain the dreams of its founding fathers.
