COVID-19: Zazzau Emirate suspends Sallah festivity

In an effort to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, the Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna state has suspended this year’s Traditional horse riding and other Sallah festivity to mark Eid-el-fitr celebration.
This was contained in a statement by Assistant Secretary of the emirate council, Alhaji Umaru Idris Dan Isan Zazzau, which was made available to Journalists on Thursday.

He said the decision was informed by the advise of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) where it directed for social distance among the citizens.
The assistant scribe stated that the emirate council complied with the state government directive on Eid-el-fitr congregational prayer expected to hold on Saturday.

Alhaji Idris called on the citizens to continue to pray against the pandemic.
He then wished entire Muslim communities happy Sallah celebration amidst the lockdown.
