Nigerian hurdler Oluwatobiloba Amusan has expressed appreciation to everyone who played a part in her success at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia The Nigerian sprinter won gold in the women’s 100m hurdles, the first time Nigeria would win gold in the event. She was also part of Nigeria’s women’s 4x100m relay team that won a bronze medal.
The Nigerian team, made up of Amusan, Joy UdoGabriel, Blessing Okagbare and Rosemary Chukwuma, fi nished with a time of 42.75 seconds behind England and Jamaica who won gold and silver respectively with a time of 42.36 and 42.52 seconds.
“I take pride in saying that I did not come this far with my own eff orts but with the help of Jehovah, my family, spiritual parents, VCBC Family, Coach Lacena & Davian, AFN, NOC, Utep Athletics D. ,Athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches,” Amusan tweeted via her official handle @ evaglobal01.
