Dalung appoints new Nigeria House Project C’ttee members

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung has appointed new members into the Nigeria House Project Committee, with Mr. Ifedayo Akindoju as Chairman and Ahmadu Musa Kida as Vice Chairman.
The 8-man committee will oversee activities of the Nigerian Hospitality House in next year’s Commonwealth Games, in Gold Coast, Australia and possibly the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Nigeria House Project is a Public Private Partnership concept between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and MOBAB Consult Limited which is a private management and marketing firm to promote the image of Nigeria sports and the brand Nigeria in international sporting meets, beginning with the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Committee shall be involved in the promotion of Nigeria’s cultural heritage, socio economic and political development of the nation and business opportunities to the entire world.
Dalung, while appointing the members, said the combination of the technocrats and qualified members was drawn up for efficient delivery of the assignment.
The Minister explained that their appointment will attract no monetary incentives.
“The services of the committee members are purely voluntary without any remuneration. The Nigeria House Project is entirely a voluntary project borne out of the members volition to contribute to building Nigeria.”
Other members are Mohammed Baba Abdullahi who returns as the consultant/coordinator and Mallam Ibrahim A. Abdul as the new assistant secretary having served as a member in the last committee. Others members include Kelvin Erhunwmuse (Member), Hon Margaret Nzumbato (Member) Tonobok Ojuru Okowa (member) and Bolcit Patience Barshep (member/secretary).
The committee has since commenced work with immediate effect.
