Dangote foots bill for Kano Trade Fair

Africa’s foremost investor, Dangote Group is to foot the bill for Kano International Trade Fair, the state government has revealed.
This was revealed by the Director General of Kano Chamber of Commerce Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA), Aliyu Muhammad Mustafa when he spoke to news men at the ongoing Kano Trade Fair.
The DG said that “Dangote Group has been our major sponsor over the years including this year’s Trade Fair. Most marketers have been asking us if Dangote will participate and we told them yes. So the Dangote is a major driving force in Kano Trade Fair.”
According to Mustafa, the participation of Dangote Group at the fair has prompted many companies, both local and foreign, to show interest in the Trade Fair even as he added that the Trade Fair would not have been possible without Dangote Group’s financial support.
Over the years, the conglomerate has been footing the bills for a the hosting of most of the Trade Fairs across the country.
According to it, the interventions were meant to foster business interactions among the people and companies of Africa.
According to it, the conglomerate has injected hundreds of millions of naira into the sponsorship.
Meanwhile, participants at the Fair continue to visit the Group’s stand making inquiry about its Rice Out-grower scheme which has already created thousands of jobs for farmers in the North.
The Group has designated and cultivated thousands of hectares of land for rice farming.
