Danjuma Jalo: Passage of a philanthropist

Words cannot describe him on what he has done for humanity, while sojourning on this earth. He is ready at all times to part with his last kobo for the person in need.
Late Alhaji Danjuma Jalo was at a time the Adamawa State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as well as the commissioner for youth and sports during the administration of former Governor Boni Haruna. It is a well known fact that he made immeasurable contributions towards the development of the state as this was aptly made known by his boss, Boni Haruna, in his tribute over his death.

His philanthropist activities revolve not only around his immediate environment of Jimeta, but cover the whole state. Jalo, at a time, offset the cost of WASC and NECO for students of Government Day Secondary School, Gwadabawa in Yola-North local government area. He also sponsored indigent students in various schools across the state, who are shaping the destiny of their chosen career.
He sponsored the pilgrimage of many people to Saudi Arabia to perform one of the five pillars of Islam. Some of our Christian brothers were sponsored to Jerusalem. Late Danjuma Jalo also contributed to the spread of Islam by constructing mosques in various locations within Jimeta town.

Late Jalo has spread the tentacles of his philanthropy during his lifetime to giving rams to those in need and cannot afford one during El-el-Kabir  on yearly basis.
Describing his death as a collosal lost to the people of Jimeta, Alhaji Umaru Mallam said that nobody in Jimeta can ever do what late Danjuma Jalo did to the people of the town. Speaking in the same vein, Alhaji Lawan Audi Song described late Danjuma Jalo as a special personality in every ramification because of his accommodating nature and compassion towards humanity.

It was because of his service to humanity and his concern for the downtrodden that the District Head of Jimeta, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Baba Paris, conferred the title of Makama of Jimeta on him.
Late Jalo would continue to be remembered for his self imposed service to the people and the legacy would continue to resonate to the generation yet unborn. He has come and conquered as well as done his bit in helping the least common man and woman of the society.
The people are fervently praying for  him and wishing aljanna to be his permanent abode. The people of Jimeta would not forget him in a hurry for the wonderful things he has done for the benefit of the people.
He is a cheerful giver and passionate about the well-being of the poor.

Danjuma Jalo was a person that can give you something without even knowing you. This is how God blessed him with the rear attribute, that was difficult to find in a lot of people.
Jimeta and, indeed, Adamawa state have greatly lost a gem, that has touched the lives of so many people in the last 30 years. The district head of Jimeta described the death of Danjuma Jalo as a big loss to the community and prayed to God to grant him aljanna.
