The immediate past Governor of Gombe state, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, has expressed grief and commiserated with the people of Tangale Chiefdom and Gombe state in general over the sudden death of Mai Tangle, Dr Abdu Buba-Maisheru (II).
In a statement in Gombe, Dankwambo said he received the sad news with a heavy heart, noting that the state and Nigeria at large will miss the traditional ruler who devoted his entire life in serving the land.
He said, “My family and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Gombe over the death of His Royal Highness, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll (Mai Tangale) the Emir of Billiri.”
He prayed God to grant the deceased’s family, Tangale chiefdom and the entire state the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the deceased eternal rest.
“His death came as a rude shock but I pray Almighty God grant his soul eternal repose,” Dankwambo further said.
