Dankwambo pledges to complete all ongoing projects in Gombe

Th‎e Governor of Gombe state, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, has said that his government will strive to complete the deluge of ongoing projects in the state before the end of its tenure on May 29, 2019.

 

The governor gave the assurances during a visit by a delegation of management staff of the Blueprint Newspapers Ltd at Government House, Gombe yesterday. He said Gombe is an emerging city that is grappling with a growing population of people.

 

The governor noted that this has led to more demand for infrastructure and amenities‎ which his administration was working hard within its lean resources to provide.

 

The two-term governor commended Blueprint newspapers for its professionalism and balanced reportage‎. He said this has made it one of the most widely read and circulated newspapers in the country. Dankwambo thanked the management of Blueprint for recognising him for an excellence award.

 

Earlier, leader of the delegation and editor-in-chief‎, Blueprint Newspapers,  Zainab Suleiman Okino, said the visit was to intimate the governor of the newspaper’s decision to bestow the Most Prudent Governor Award on him in May.

 

She commended the governor for his unblemished record ‎ of meritorious services as Accountant General of the Federation and now almost 8-year reign as governor. 

 

She said with the Not-too-young-to-run‎ movement fingers are pointing at Dankwambo because of his track record of transformational and people-centred development.
