Days after purchasing £9.5m portshe car, Ronaldo gets another

Cristiano Ronaldo has the need for speed – and earns the crust to pay for his lust.

After reportedly buying the world’s most expensive car earlier this month – for £9.5million – the Juventus superstar has now picked up a bargain-basement McLaren Senna hypercar, worth “just” £750,000.

Ronaldo, 34, posed with the 211mph coupe – just a day after Lewis Hamilton showed him around the racing garage of  McLaren’s main rivals, Mercedes.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid frontman Ronaldo was thought to be the purchaser of a Bugatti La Voiture just weeks ago – a car that is literally a one-off both in price and as a prototype.

It would have cost him nearly £10m, roughly the amount he earns in two months from his annual salary of about £61m.

But now Ronaldo has gone for sheer pace and power with the third model in the McLaren Ultimate Series, named after F1 legend Ayrton Senna.

The Woking-based firm say the Senna reaches 62mph in 2.8seconds – still a yawning 0.8secs longer than it took Saudi footballer Nawaf Al Abed to net football’s fastest ever goal after the first whistle in 2009.

Ronaldo’s new sportscar can also roar from start to the quarter-mile mark in 9.9 seconds – marginally quicker than the time it would take PSG flier Kylian Mbappe to run the length of a football pitch.

And it joins a jaw-dropping array of cars in Ronaldo’s collection.

A few of them are humdrum run-arounds, such as a Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe at a piffling £41k.

And some are predictable, like the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Aston Martin DB9 and Bentley Continental GTC Speed.

But he also has exotic little numbers like a Ujn Ferrari 599 GTO and a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.

All in all, Ronaldo could trade his cars in to buy a football squad that might just stay up in the Premier League.

And for now his collection might well be a welcome distraction as he could face being served with a summons to face rape claims.

Ronaldo has always denied the allegations and his  spokesman said last night that claims he would be issued with a summons were “entirely false”.

But lawyers for ex-model Kathryn Mayorga have reportedly tracked down his address in Italy.
