DC Usman bags AYAP’s excellence award

A Deputy Commissioner of Police and currently Grand Commander IGP Special Task Force on Pipeline and Illegal Bunkering, Usman Kanfani Jibril has bagged excellence award for service delivery in the Nigerian police.

The award was presented by an international non-governmental organisation, the Africa Youth Assembly for Peace (AYAP) over the weekend in Abuja.

Presenting the award in his office, Country Director of AYAP, Yakubu Takai who was represented by the national publicity secretary of the organisation, Mr. Joseph Akpira, said DC Usman was recognised by the youth body for his untiring service as a gallant police officer.

He said, “Out of the many capable officers working to keep the unity of the Nigerian state, DC Usman Kanfani Jibril was chosen for the award because of his track record of achievements in the Force.”

Takai said “DC Usman’s diligence and commitment afforded him the opportunity of current position as the Grand Commander IGP Special Task Force on Pipeline and Illegal Bunkering at the Police Headquarters, which is a sensitive and critical job requiring experience and sense of patriotism.”

Born on 26th March, 1968 in Ibeto, Magaima local government area of Niger state, holds Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, PGD in Public Administration besides the Tactical and Leadership Command Course (TLCC) course attended at the Police Staff College Jos.
