The feud between Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande and his former party, the Democratic Peoples’ Party (DPP), as a result of his defection to the All Progressive Congress (APC), has taken another dimension.
Blueprint gathered that the DPP has given him till February 17, this year, to make a U-turn, with a threat to sue him for litigation.
The party in a letter written to the member of the House of Representatives by its legal officer, Victor O. Odjemu, said it was drawing his attention to the fact that the DPP “is the holder of the mandate in the House of Representatives for the Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency of Plateau state; it is the party that sponsored you during the 2011 general elections.”
The letter which was made available to Blueprint in Jos by the National Publicity Secretary of the DPP, Ateeku Yusuf, said the party it was shocked to understand that he recently announced that he had defected from the DPP to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
