Defunct CPC members back Galadima’s R-APC

Members of one of the legacy political parties that formed the All Progressives Congress across the 17 states of the South have declared support for the National Chairman of Reformed All Progressives Congress (rAPC), Engr. Buba Galadima.
The group, which consists core members of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), stated that Engr. Galadima has taken a bold step to express and expose their dissatisfaction and sufferings and that of Nigerians to the entire world.
A statement signed yesterday in Abuja by the National Coordinator of the group under the aegis of Southern Mandate of Nigeria (SMN), Comrade Ikonomwan Francis, said the emergence of rAPC has given Nigerians hope and confidence for a better country, adding that “citizens now have a formidable platform” that can restore their lost hope.
According to Ikonomwan, the memorandum of understanding that was signed recently by 39 political parties and the caliber of persons driving the coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) was a clear indication that Nigerians would absolutely be liberated from the shackles of poverty and abandonment.
“We, core members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) from the 17 southern states of Nigeria under the auspices of Southern Mandate of Nigeria (SMN) wish to enjoin Nigerians to commend the leadership of the Reformed All Progressive Congress (R-APC) for their ability to increase their stake in the Nigerian project.
“There is a huge out cry of hunger, killings, insecurity total disconnect between the people and the government.
This calls for a formidable platform with the aim of urgently rescuing our beloved nation from the hands of those who have no vision for the masses.” “We made bold to say at this point in time, that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who worked against Muhammadu Buhari in 2007 and 2011 is now claiming to be more Buhari than some of us who brought Gen Muhammadu Buhari to make him a marketable presidential material that gave him victory in 2015.
