Delegates agree on death penalty for rape of minor, life jail for rapist

The ongoing national conference yesterday came down hard on rapist and corrupt judicial officers, as they agreed on death penalty for rape of minor, life jail for rapist and anybody that stole public fund.
The conference equally agreed on 50 years imprisonment, without option of fine, with loss of all life entitlements for convicted corrupt judicial officers.
The delegates agreed yesterday during voting on recommendations of its committee on Civil Society, Labour, Youth and sports, but rejected a recommendation that the federal government should begin to appropriate money for NGOs managed by CSO commission.
Other recommendations adopted was an intervention fund to revitalised skill acquisition and vocation centers across Nigeria, and law for life imprisonment and hard labour for rape convict.
They approved a recommendation that a separate commission for Women Affairs and Children issues be established as well 30 percent affirmative action for youth.
They voted in favour of Civil Society Regulatory Commission to be established, and more than six months casual workers must be permanently employed by multinational companies.
Another recommendation that was rejected was that of suggestion that split one year of NYSC into three segments even as amendment for NYSC to be purely military training was also rejected
