Delta 2015 is for PDP – Chairman

Delta state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Peter Nwoboshi, has said that it would not concede any ward to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

Nwaoboshi made the declaration in Ubusa, Oshimili North local government area when a political pressure group, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta Mandate, visited him.

He said “there is no opposition party in the state,” and promised not to concede any ward to the arch-rival, the APC, during the race to succeed Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, come 2015.

The group, led by its National President, Chief Isaac Ozo Anwuzia, had gone to declare their support to the dictates of the party, when Nwaoboshi made the remark.
The group condemned the controversy trailing power shift into elective offices in the state, maintaining that the issue had been settled in Section 3(c) of the party constitution 2012 (as amended) “in pursuance of equity, justice and fairness.”

It said: “As a group, the PDP Delta Mandate also lent its voice to condemn such unguarded out-burst in its entirety. We wish to say unequivocally that the PDP Delta Mandate will stand shoulder to shoulder with our party leaders, His Excellency, the Governor, and you our chairman, in consulting with our father, South-South Leader, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, in defending the dictates the party’s constitution.”
