Delta FA stakeholders to drag NFF to court over illegal committee

Stakeholders will head to court to challenge what they describe as imposition of a normalization committee on the Delta State Football Association, according to players’ union boss Harrison Jalla.

“We as stakeholders are heading to the court to determine this case of normalisation committee for the Delta FA,” Jalla disclosed.

“The NFF have gone berserk and have started violating their own rules. The NFF statutes say their affiliates are independent to conduct their own affairs.

“This is even corroborated by the FIFA statutes as FIFA do not conduct elections for their affiliates or interfere in their internal affairs.

“These incompetent NFF officials are all over the states of the federation manipulating states Football Association elections and fixing their cronies as state FA chairmen to continue their looting spree of our football treasury.

“This manipulation cannot succeed in Delta State as a football stakeholder I will fight the NFF to  a logical conclusion in their evil machinations to set up a normalisation committee to run the Delta State FA.

“I want to see what has been giving top officials of the NFF the confidence that they can do anything and get away with it.

“These are officials facing prosecution in court for alleged corruption. Some of them have been convicted by courts of competent jurisdiction .yet they defy the law and  continue to parade themselves .

“I can assure the NFF that they have chosen the wrong state to exhibit their draconian disposition in running Nigeria football with impunity, ” Jalla said.
