Deratheboy shares secrets behind his success

In recent years, modern technology has made it more common for musicians to create their music in home studios without requiring working with a professional producer or sound engineer. As such, this may apply to the fact that distinctions can practically be achieved.

Deratheboy, also known as Odera Ezeani Gilbert, is a sound engineer and music producer whose participation in the entertainment industry added intrigue to the process of creating music. His area of expertise thus expanded to include several modalities, as he had built up his expertise in 3D animation before specializing in digital audio since his works won global championships.

As a sound engineer, his duties span manual dexterity to set up and adjust sensitive recording and mixing equipment. He hones the technical expertise to know which pieces of equipment are best for a particular purpose and how to operate those pieces of musical and sound equipment.

Also, Dera has proven to have computer skills to deploy sound editing and equipment regulator software. However, Dera stated that sound engineering technicians must listen and interpret instructions from clients on how they want their finished product to sound.

He portrays the need for excellent hearing ability to identify the proper pitch, volume, or effects for each sound involved in a recording.  He argued that the sound engineer must choose the proper sounds by taking the musicians’ wishes into mind to clarify the interwoven nature of both professions.

Dera, on the other hand, has a strong desire for music and has worked with renowned organizations to execute his musical talent and advance his proficiency as he won more award bids.
