Popular economic researcher, Sheriff Almuhajir, who was earlier yesterday arrested by the Nigerian Army for unspecified reasons, has regained his freedom.
Although reason for his arrest was not officially stated by Army officials, Mr Almuhajir took to his Facebook page early yesterday and wrote: “It’s clear that someone is not happy with our distribution from Saudi Arabia. “He is now using the Nigerian Army Garrison Commander in Maiduguri against me.
They remanded me with SARS Maiduguri and now they may transfer me to the barracks for the worst and anything can happen,” he said. Almuhajir is a PhD scholar who finished from the University Sains Islam Malaysia. He is also an economic researcher and scholar.
