Emmanuel Deutsch has resigned as the head coach of Delta Force to replace Henry Makinwa as the new head coach of Abia Warriors.
The Cameroonian returns to the Umuahia-based club where he spent the whole of last season, in a bid to keep them in the top flight as they are in a relegation battle.
The inconsistency of Henry Makinwa’s team and a recent home loss to Delta Force made the management of the club to recall Emmanuel Deutsch.
Abia Warriors are in the 11th position in the NPFL Group B – with 18 points from 16 games and they will face Gombe United in a relegation zone battle at Pantami Stadium on May 5.
Since gaining promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in 2013, Abia Warriors have not been relegated from the topflight.
