Dialogue with El-Rufai, APC chieftain tells Shehu Sani, Hunkuyi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim Daura, has advised  the two APC senators in the state, Senators Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi  to  stop fighting the governor, but engage in a meaningful dialogue.

Daura said that fighting was not in the interest of the state, assuring them that El-Rufai “has a forgiving heart and would accept them back”.

He said it was rather unfortunate that in the same party, they were having this kind of opposition, adding: “What I want to say concerning the crisis in our party is really unfortunate that we are having an opposition.

“El-Rufai is the governor of the state elected under the party. I don’t see reasons these people are fighting him. If they have anything against the governor, they should meet him   instead of fighting. This open fighting is not in the interest of the state.

“My advice to them especially the two Senators is to concentrate on the work they are elected to do and allow the governor to do his work”, he added.

The APC chieftain also dispelled the insinuation that the governor dids not listen to advice, saying, “there is no human being that doesn’t take advice and El-Rufai that I know, listens to advice”.

According to him, El-Rufai has a forgiving heart. If they come back to him he would forgive them.

Daura remarked that it was time the two senators and their associates closed ranks with the governor and work for the development of the state.
