In line with the National Broadcasting Commission’s (NBC) digital migration flag-off in Jos, the GOtv Nigeria has launched its public awareness campaign, dubbed, Digilevelz Don Land: Jos, Step-up, officially done by its General Manager, Mrs. Elizabeth Amkpa.
She said they deemed it necessary to flag off the campaign in Jos in support of the NBC’s plan to launch the digitalisation migration, and for the fact that Jos was where the first colour TV was introduced in West Africa.
The campaign was launched on Saturday at a media briefing held at the Qualer Apartments & Hotels, Jos, with the GM explaining that “it is now Nigeria’s time to GO-digital and to join other countries in the digital television revolution with GOtv as a trusted digital compliant partner.”

She said: “This will enable us, with great ease, to deliver the switch from analogue to digital message to viewers across Nigeria. Using the latest DVB-T2 technology, GOtv delivers digital quality sound and a crystal clear picture, enhancing viewing.”
She said GOtv “is presently available in 20 cities: Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Enugu, Benin, Aba, Owerri, Kano, Kaduna, Onitsha, Asaba, Uyo, Abuja, Calabar, Osogbo, Ogbomoso, Ife, Akure, Oyo and Jos.

“GOtv subscribers in Jos will have access to an exciting selection of channels containing news, children’s programming, documentaries, series and movies which are carefully selected to cater for a variety of different tastes and family viewing needs at an affordable price.”
She said the GOtv offers two bouquets, the GOtv Plus, which has a total of 41 channels and GOtv, which has a total of 28 world-class local and international channels. Monthly subscription to both bouquets are priced at 1, 500 and for N1, 000 respectively.

“We encourage customers to purchase the GOtenna (outside antenna) at a standalone price of N1, 600 to receive the optimal quality signal.”
