Disability’s rights group lauds Buhari on Gambari’s appointment

Cedar Seed Foundation; a rights group for People With Disabilities (PWD) has lauded the recent appointment of Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari as the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Its Executive Director Lois Auta, in a signed statement made available to Journalists yesterday in Abuja described President Mohammadu Buhari’s choice of  Prof. Gambari after the office became vacant following the demise of the late Abba Kyari about a month ago as “the best decision and a good choice for many Nigerians”.

According to Auta, the new Chief of Staff is passionate towards issues of disability, saying that his coming is a sign of better days ahead for all Persons With Disability (PWD’s) in the country.

“I believe through him we will get the president to establish a national disability commission for the management of disability affairs,” she said.

Congratulations Prof. Gambari. God will grant you wisdom to discharge your duties as the Chief of Staff to President Buhari,” she added.

Gambari, 76-year-old, is a former Minister of External Affairs when Buhari was the Head of State in 1984.

His appointment was announced shortly before the start of the virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha.
