Djokovic qualifies for ATP World Tour finals

World number one Novak Djokovic has become the second player to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals in London in November, following his victory in the Wimbledon final last Sunday.
It has been a time of multiple rewards for the Serbian, who won his second title at SW19 when beating seven-time champion Roger Federer in five sets, and he has also returned to the top of the world rankings as a result.

The 27-year-old has joined Spaniard Rafael Nadal in booking his place for the last tournament of the year at the 02 Arena, who he leapfrogged back into top spot in the world rankings after the French Open champion was beaten at the All England Club by wildcard Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round.

This week will be the 102nd that the seven-time Grand Slam winner will spend as the world number one, and he has qualified for the World Tour finals for the eighth consecutive year, while he sits eighth on the all-time list of number of weeks as number one.
Djokovic, who had lost five of his previous six Grand Slam finals before beating Federer, spoke of his pride in making it back to the top of the rankings for the first time since October 2013.
He said: “It feels great not only to win Wimbledon again but also to return to number one in the ATP Rankings.
