Dogara: Behold the phony worthy son of Bauchi, by COMRADE SANI ABUBAKAR

In Nigeria’s political arena, the good, the bad, and the ugly political players, who are in the field to make real their whims and caprices, always bring forth sophisticated propaganda, not for the benefit of the electorate or society, but for selfish gains.
With elections around the corner, the atmosphere is becoming more saturated by all sorts of scheming, deceits, and Judas playing tactics all in an inordinate desperation for power and control of state resources.
In most cases, if these clowns get to leadership, the masses will suffer, public treasury will be depleted, and democracy will be flagrantly abused in the process.
Sad to say that, after the 2015 general elections, instead of setting politics aside and confronting the task of governance like provision of infrastructure and other vital dividends of democracy to the electorate, some self-serving politicians who are yet to wake up from the slumber of defeat of the 2015 elections, or their conduits are being blocked, are still generating chaos, infightings, and media propaganda to denigrate those in authority.
In fact, if there’s any state where political black sheep are waging media war against their governor, it’s Bauchi state.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar emerged the APC’s flagbearer in 2015 against the wish of some big chest politicians.
And even after winning the election, they formed a gang to fight and engage him in an all outmedia war for selfish reasons.
Anything good coming from the administration is seen as bad to this group of the unfortunate ne’er do well political adversaries of Governor Abubakar.
Indeed, they’re sponsoring their cohorts to paint anything white around M.A in black gallivanting on the pages of newspapers as if newspapers have become political constituencies.
Most of them have forgotten that, they were elected by the people at the various polling units and not in Abuja, their chosen operational base.
The most recent comedy and political thespian art which is really laughable and unimaginable fairy tale is when different characters converged under a fake umbrella of Bauchi State Elders and signed an empty petition and charade called, “expression of solidarity”.
They endorsed Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and called for reconciliation between Governor Abubakar and the Dogara camp.
However, what is laughable in the new Trojan horse was the combination of the signatories and their false love for Bauchi state.
My reasons aren’t far-fetched.
Isa Yuguda, a former governor of Bauchi state, is not a card-carrying member of the APC yet he is part of the group calling for reconciliation in the party.
His administration[HU1] was the worst ever witnessed in the history of Bauchi state.
It was tarred with alleged misappropriations, padded vouchers, ghost workers, accumulation of internal and external debts, backlog of workers’ salaries.
In fact, the list in the can of worms inherited by Governor Abubakar from Yuguda is endless.
How then could such a person say he wants something good for the state he ran aground? What an irony! Another character in their soup is someone who was given a traditional title by the Bauchi Emirate and was later discovered unworthy to hold any recognized traditional title.
Consequently, he was stripped of the title.
How could he delve into issues concerning the progress of Bauchi state? I smell a rat.
On the make-believe and assumed worthy son of Bauchi state, who was said to have helped President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election, Hon.
Dogara, let me set the record straight and I will try not to be ambiguous.
I’ve no problem with Dogara’s endorsement because I don’t know under which party he will be contesting.
The boiling point here is, what has he done for the people of Bauchi state and what more does he have for them to be so desperate? Dogara’s endorsers said he helped President Buhari to win the 2015 presidential election.
But even an imbecile and dim-witted student of history knows that, in a mysterious circumstance, both President Buhari and Governor Abubakar lost in Dogara’s local government while he won despite being in the same party with the duo.
Perhaps, he helped them in the contrary.
The president he said he helped was in Dogara’s state for a two-day working visit and he was not there to receive him.
His party, the APC, has conducted congresses but he chose recessing in his farm rather than participating in the process which he later challenged in court instead of the party apparatus, but that will be if he truly loves the party.
Lest I forget, I heard that Dogara is the new worthy son of Bauchi state.
Let me remind him that, we lost a senator in the state and he is yet to visit and console on the death.
Recently, the state was in mourning and critical times as windstorm and fire incidents ravaged the state.
Many lives and properties worth billions of naira were lost and people from different parts of the country visited and gave some palliatives to victims of the two incidents.
But Dogara, the newly crowned worthy son of our state, is yet to visit us.
What a worthy son! On a final note, the good people of Bauchi state are not averse to any form of reconciliation and would not deprive Dogara of the right of contesting any position and his new title of the worthy son of our state.
However, the truth is, we are not as gullible as you and your endorsers imagine because the right of voting who is going to govern our state is ours.
We are with the leadership style of Governor Abubakar.
Come rain come shine, when the time comes, the liberated people of Bauchi state will give him our votes for consolidation of the good work he has started.
Abubakar writes from Azare, Bauchi state
