Domestic Equity gains N711bn

Domestic equity market sustained growth profile, gaining N711 billion following gains recorded by shares of Dangote Cement, BUA Cement during the day.

Market capitalisation of listed equities increased by 2.90 per cent to N25.181 trillion from N24.471 trillion reported the previous day.

The NGX All Share Index also appreciated by 1303.04 basis points to 46232.37 points from 44929.33 points reported the previous day.

Investors traded 187.906 million shares valued at N1.842 billion in 3454 deals.

The NSE trading activities showed that MSL Tech led gainers table during the day, gaining 10 per cent to N0.22, Dangote Cement followed with a gain of 9.98 per cent to N262.30, BUA Cement also gained 9.72 per cent to N79.00, Cornerstone Insurance up by 9.09 per cent to N0.48, Prestige Insurance appreciated by 8.11 per cent to N0.40.

On the contrary, SCOA topped losers chart during the day, declining by 9.30 per cent to N1.17, Royal Express trailed with a loss of 8.97 per cent to N0.71, Eterna Oil declined by 4.76 per cent to N5.40, Cutix Plc down by 4.72 per cent to N2.02, Chams Plc dipped by 4.35 per cent to N0.22.

The result further showed that Living Trust was the most active stock during the day, exchanging 30.110 million shares valued at N43.057 million, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria followed with account of 26.530 million shares cost N31.460, Access Corp traded 16.392 million shares valued at N139.574 million, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated exchanged 12.115 million shares cost N121.172 million, GTCO Plc traded 11.549 million shares worth N233.580 million.
