The new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Mustafa, who assumed duty at the command Headquarters on Wednesday, has enjoined business owners not to keep cash in their shops.
Mustafa stated this after taking over from his predecessor, Alkali Baba Usman, who had been promoted to the rank of an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and posted to the Zone 7 Headquarters in Abuja.

Mustafa warned business owners to guard against keeping cash overnight in their shops and homes, noting that they should endeavour to move cash realised from their daily sales to banks before the close of banking transactions for each day to abate falling victims to hoodlums.
While warning against keeping routines in the movement of cash, the CP also tasked banks to, as part of their corporate-social responsibility, encourage and educate their customers to guard against keeping cash in their shops and homes.

The new police boss, who solicited the support and cooperation of members of the public, assured of his willingness to partner with stakeholders to make the territory safe.
He said the Command can be reached on the following emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883
The new FCT Police Commissioner holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Master Degree in Law Enforcement and criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
