Don’t trust APC with power again, Fintiri tells Adamawa electorate

Fresh from his Court of Appeal victory and ahead of Saturday’s local government election in Adamawa state, the state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has cautioned the electorate against electing the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship and councillorship candidates in tomorrow’s election.

Fintiri stated this yesterday at the PDP grand rally to round up the party’s local government campaign tours for the local government election in the state.

He accused the former APC led administration in the state of mismanaging and embezzling the resources of the state during their 4 years rule and described that administration as misrule.

He urged the people of the state not to again entrust their wealth at the local government councils in the hands of the party that squandered their resources without anything show for it.

Fintiri tasked them to vote for all PDP chairmanship and councillorship candidates to enjoy dividends of democracy at the grassroots level.

According to him, since he assumed office in the last 6 months his administration has concentrated efforts on fulfilling his promises to the people, and added that he has so far recorded lots of successes in the areas of security, free education, school feeding programmes, prompt payment of salaries and payment of workers’ entitlements, among others.

Earlier, the Adamawa state PDP chairman Barrister AT Shehu thanked the party members and the people of the state for their supports for Fintiri’s administration.

Highlight of the event was the public presentations of all 21 local government chairmanship candidates of the party.

There was also the presentation of a defected former commissioner  Tijjani Marsha and former local government chairman Mohammed OC and their supporters and some APC and ADC local governments executives in the state among, others numbering over 300.
