I wish to use this medium to congratulate Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau state for successfully hosting President Muhammadu Buhari during an official visit from March 8, 2018.
The request passed to the President by the people of Plateau through their highly respected governor, among others, for the urgent dualization of the Abuja – Jos road has not come at a better time.
No doubt His Excellency had touched the hearts of not only Plateau citizens but the entire commuters of the North East sub region. For lack of someone to articulate this desire in spite of the availability of a standing ‘army’ of elected national assembly members from the area over the years of democratic rule, we continued to suffer in silence.
Now that the wonderful, articulate and hardworking present governor of Plateau state has taken the bull by the horns on this important gateway to six or seven states in the North, it is our hope that all stakeholders would support him fully until the dualization is achieved within the tenure of President Buhari’s government. Thank you Governor Lalong and may peace be sustained on the Plateau.
