Eagles’ pre-World Cup programme on course – Olajire

Nigeria Football Federation’s mouthpiece, Ademola Olajire, has reassured that there has been no change to what has been streamed to the public previously as the Super Eagles’ schedule leading to the 20th FIFA
World Cup Finals in Brazil.

“We have heard people talking about cancellation of the friendly with the Senior Team of USA. Sincerely, we don’t know where that is coming from.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the NFF and its official FIFA match agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, has re-confirmed that the Super Eagles will regroup in London on Saturday, May 25, play Scotland at the Craven Cottage ground of English Premiership side Fulham FC on Tuesday, May 28 and fly to the USA on Wednesday, May 29.

“The African champions will play the Senior Team of Greece at the Philadelphia Union Stadium on June 3 and then take on Team USA at the EverBank Field Stadium in Jacksonville on June 7, before heading to Sao Paulo on June 11.”
Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport added: “The United States provides us with similar climate and time zones as we will encounter in Brazil and more importantly, provide us with world class facilities for both training and accommodation for our players’ comfort.

“This will give us the opportunity to provide the right atmosphere for our players as well as afford them quality training facilities ahead of the FIFA World Cup Finals.”
