Minister of the FCT, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has urged residents of the Federal Capital Territory to spread the gospel of love, sacrifice, tolerance and peaceful co-existence as they celebrates this year’s Easter.
The minister said this in his Easter message as Christians all over the world commemorate the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He charged the residents to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God and humanity to make the world a better place than we met it.

He said: “As you pray for the nation, I enjoin you to also pray for its leadership, for God to continue to guide, protect and give the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, strength and the wisdom to steer the affairs of state, so that he will judiciously implement the transformation agenda of the federal government,” he said.
The minister who used the occasion to further commiserate with the people that lost their loved ones and those who survived but sustained various degrees of injury in the recent Nyanya bomb blast, assured that the FCT Administration in collaboration with the security agencies are more committed to protecting the lives and property of all the residents of the territory.

He advised residents to be security conscious and to always report any suspicious movement to the law enforcement agents, saying that “security is everybody’s business.”
Mohammed expressed gratitude to God for the privilege and mercy He had granted all in the FCT to join other Christians around the globe to commemorate “these providential days.”
