Easter: Cleric charges Christians on holiness

Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has charged Christians not to wish away the holiness and righteous life they lived during the 60 days fasting and prayers which culminated into Easter.
Ezeokafor, who gave the charge while delivering his Easter message in Awka, said it was improper for some Christians to be holy only during the Lenten season and holy week (a week before Easter celebration) only to return to their past lifestyles during or after celebrating the death and resurrection of Christ.
“What you have been doing, whether it is during the Lenten season, particularly at Holy Week, and especially during this Tridum, should fortify you and prepare you to continue,” he said.
